Autumn 2:

We have had a busy and exciting half term going on lots of adventures outside
of school and worked hard in the classroom.
Maths We have looked at shapes, adding and subtraction and been learning lots
about numbers and how we can use them
English We have read Mrs Armitage on Wheels, Percy the Park Keeper after
the storm and Harvey Slumfenburgers Christmas present and we have focused
on repeating patterns, we also wrote a letter to Santa.
Science We have explored the different animals and plants in India, and we
became very creative making things. We learnt about the life cycle of plants
and how to grow them.
Topic
We have really enjoyed exploring and learning about India, we pretended to get
a flight across the world to travel there and we used our senses to explore
different spices, we dressed up in traditional costume and listened to Indian
music. We travelled to Birmingham and visited and Indian restaurant where we
tried Indian foods.
We have had trips this term to represent Sherbrook school at the cenotaph in
Chadsmoor for Remembrance Day we also visited the cinema to watch the
Smurfs, we had a full school trip to the snowdome, and we have been able to
visit our Forest school area at Cannock Chas

Spring 1:

Spring 1's topic is Vikings.

In Science we are doing States of Matter.
