March 2018 - We have achieved our bronze Eco-School award status.
The children held their first Eco Club meeting on 13th February 2018.
Our eco-warriors will help to make sure each class is doing their bit to make our school eco-friendlier and staff have all planned to involve eco elements in the curriculum over the coming months.
Last year we took part in the RSPB garden birdwatch, encouraging as many birds as possible by making and topping up our bird feeders.
As part of our science work on lifecycles in science we hatched chicks in school, as well as kept caterpillars and watched them turn into butterflies.
We have been carrying on our fantastic work in forest schools across the school; building dens, making wild art and building camp fires.
For our meeting we completed our audit of how eco-friendly our school is. We will look at the results and decide on some action points we want the school to work on over the next year.
Our topic themes we will focus on for the spring and summer term are Biodiversity, School Grounds and Water.
