Sherbrook Primary School

Mental Health and Wellbeing

Sherbrook Primary School achieved the Mental Health & Wellbeing Award for Schools in the summer of 2019. Staff have undertaken a range of training opportunities to ensure they are equipped with the knowledge and skills to support children and adults who need additional support in this area.

Sherbrook Primary School cares for the whole child. We like to work with parents and carers to ensure that children are happy at home and school.

If you think your child is worried or anxious about anything please get in touch with your child’s class teacher initially. School can support your child with 1:1 interventions or small group work. We have a detailed programme of support we can provide tailored to your child’s needs.

If you would like to find out any more information about helping your child with their mental health needs please take a look at the following web sites.

On the 10th October 2018 Staff wore something yellow for mental health and wellbeing awareness day.

During the week beginning 3rd February 2020 Sherbrook school pupils took part in finding your brave. We encouraged pupils to bring an item into school that helped them through a difficult situation to show others and talk about how the item helped them to be brave.
