Pine

Welcome to Pine Class. We are a mixed year 3, 4, 5 and 6 complex needs class following the pre formal pathway. Our teacher is Tammy, our TA is Jo and our ISAs are Chloe, Hayley and Joe.  We follow a structured timetable with lots of opportunities for practical and hands on learning.  

This half term we are learning about All About Me in our topic lessons; learning about our about our senses, our bodies and our likes and dislikes. We have looked at people who help us both at home and school and looked at our families.  

In English our focus has been My family and friends. We have looked at the books, Hug by Jez Alborough, The Family Book by Todd Parr and Bears Busy Family by Stella Blackstone. 

In Maths we have been learning about time. We have been looking at what we do at certain times of the day. Breakfast in the morning and stories at bedtime.   

Reminders:

•       Library books your child has selected will be sent home with them on Wednesdays; please can  these be returned the following Wednesday for them to swap for another.  
•       PE is on a Tuesday, can children please arrive in their PE kits. 
•       LOTC is on a Monday, please can all children bring spare clothes and footwear or waterproof clothes. We can keep the waterproof clothes in school if you prefer.  
•       Please label all clothing and belongings so any misplaced items are easily returned to the correct child
